- First thing first I need the right equipment. And not just wood will you need but other stuff like a wood kiln that will speed up the curing process.

- It's now called Traditional Bowhunters Assosiation. It is for any kind of bow except for crossbows and compounds. Oh and by the way I just bought a recurve from a local archery shop called Hoffman's Archery. It is big on compounds but has a decent selection of traditional equipment.

Comment by Steve on August 19, 2008 at 10:26am - I've been bow hunting my entire life and always took it for granted, being able to just go to a pro shop and buy a bow ready for the taking. I think it would be pretty cool to build my own bow and harvest a deer with it. What do I need to do to get started, maybe you can throw a how-to discussion up or something along those lines. Thanks for the cool group.
