My Father-in-law is AWESOME!!!
Opening morning, Missouri, November 15, 2008, 6:30 am. This 11-pointer came in to the foodplot, looking for love. He got a lead sandwich instead. :) 150 yard shot.
This is my BEST by far, got him in ILL last season at 7yds,has 11pts with 24.25" inside spread that scored 178" B&C, field dressed 235lbs..
Here's the buck i killed last week in pike county, illinois. I saw this buck about 450 yards out in a wide open field and i watched i work his way to about 150 yards along the edge of a point that stuck out in the field. I thought he was going to go into the point so i got my primos can out and started calling to him and here he comes. He finally got to where i could shoot and i ranged him at 46 yards and thought it now or never. I drew back and grunted with my mouth 3 times and he never stopped and he was fixin to be where i couldnt shoot at him, so i just hollered "hey" and he stopped and looked my way and i let her fly. The shoot was perfect, double lunged him and he only ran about 60 yards and pilled up. Its my best buck to date. He's a 10pt that scored 136 1/8 and tipped the scales at 220 lbs. Down here in TN we dont have deer with bodies like that and my deer was just a 3 year old buck.
