Finally! For many years Ive wanted to go on a Caribou hunt, but poor planning and a lack of the ole' Benjamins has put a kibosh to it. This year is the exception. Our hunt isn't until next Sept. but i am as anxious as a five year old on Christmas eve. Northern Quebec will host what i hope to be my best hunting experience to date. I hear the fishing there is just as great as the hunt! So, if any of you fellow hunters have any quality info or helpful tips i would greatly appreciate them. Thanks ,… Continue

Our Fall season started in October with our Squirrel season with around 25 taken and 3 Rabbit's, then in November our Deer Firearm season opened and on opening evening I saw one of the Biggest, Reddest Yote's I have seen. He bugged out before I could set a shot at him, so I made him the BIG OBJECTIVE for this fall. On December 5th it dawned an uggly foggy morning so I decided to give Ol Red a wake up call or two and after about 10 minutes of soft calling in ran a HUGE BOBCAT (not the yote I was… Continue

We had the opportunity to hunt with Glenn Foreman, President & CEO of Mud Buddy Backwater Motors at his little piece of heaven out West in the mountains. The temps never reached above 25 degrees during our 3 day duck and goose hunt. The temps got down as low as the negative single digits with the winds reaching up to 35+ mph. It was a lot different conditions than we're used to, but nonetheless we had a BLAST!!!
On day 1 we did a midmorning Mallard shoot... 34 Greenheads… Continue

So last week was buck only season here in NJ. Each time I sat, I saw at least 4 does, even in a steady rain. So today, the start of Permit Shotgun, was marked on my internal calendar as Judgement Day for one of these big does that like to come and feed for hours on my pricey bait. So I'll sit, a few does will pop out early like normal, I just pick the biggest one, and the pull the trigger right? WRONG!
Nothing is guaranteed in the hunting world! The only bait gobblers I saw today… Continue

I was driving home last night from a friends house in a very rural farming area in TN late last night and noticed a large splatter of blood on the asphalt...and then about a 300 yard trail of blood that led into yet another LARGE stain on the road. I turned my high beams on and looked around as best I could in the drizzling rain with a baby in the car and decided someone must've had a poor run of luck and whammed a deer while driving. I didnt think anything else of it and finished my journey… Continue
