Bill Booth Outdoors/Sportsmen Against Cancer "Gator hunt"
Another year has gone by and gator season is around the corner!
This year we donated an Alligator hunt to Safari Club International, "make a wish safari" and the wish was granted to Tom Widenhofer a 15 year old young guy who is fighting Brain cancer, the past year of Tom's life has been consumed by Brain surgery and Chemo that has taken its toll on him. the last two months he has been off chemo and he's gaining strength for his gator hunt.
On August 10th Tom was invited to the Bass Pro shop in Ft. Myers, Fl for a Shopping spree( how sweet is that) i think we have all dreamed about just getting a shopping cart and having a free run of the Bass Pro!!!Then hunt will take place at Lake Istokpoga in Fl. on August 15 starting with a dinner for Tom's Family,friends and the crew of Bill Booth Outdoors. After dinner we will head out to the lake on the Airboats with Harpoon in hand looking for that 12' gator. On the Sat. 16th a bass fishing trip is planned for Tom during the day and big Party /BBQ for friends and sponsors will start at 4pm followed by another night of hunting and Sunday the 17th we will finsh up the final filming.
This is all possible with the support from sponsors like Bass Pro Shops, Costa Del Mar, Beco Products, Russell Boots, Camoclad, Bad Boy Buggies, Istokpoga Marina, C&W BBQ, and Winding Creek Equestrian with a 5,000 cash donation.We are also working on having Gary Levox of Rascal Flatts join the hunt.
This is being filmed for the Bill Booth Outdoors Television series and will be aired on the Versus network as episode 1 of 2009. If you or anyone you know might be interested in donating to Tom, it will just add to the great event we have already planned.

Awesome story Bill and good luck to you on your hunt with Tom. I'm sure this will be something he will remember for the rest of his life. Looking forward to seeing it on Vs. If there is anything HunterSpot.com can do for you just let us know.
